Breda, 14th of April 2003 - Today, dr. ir. Theo Noij, head
of the chemical water quality & health department of Kiwa NV., signed an
agreement for developing WingSpectra for ‘Infospec', a Kiwa application.
Infospec is a database of mass spectra, constructed with the measuring results
of the linked water laboratories in the Netherlands. It enables these laboratories
to exchange data on the basis of a uniform recognition system. If lab A comes
across pesticide X, lab B can profit by this information. This results in a
constant quality of analyses and their reporting. WingSpectra, a separately
usable module of LabCarrier® (the successful lab expert software developed
by LabWing) collects and consolidates mass spectra results of library-search
actions and reports these to Infospec. The integration of WingSpectra in the
Infospec surroundings will approximately take a month.
Several Kiwa linked water laboratories already chose for LabWing as their partner
for the software module LabCost®. LabCost® is a software application
for cost-accounting which enables laboratories to have a clear and thorough
insight in their cost structure and cost development.
