Breda, 17th of September 2003 - During the Interscience
Chromatography Days 2003 which will be held on the 8th and 9th of October, LabWing
will be present as well. On both afternoons, during his presentation, Peter
van den Elshout will ask his public:
Can one leave the quality of MS-data processing to software?
Anyone who has worked with data processing for mass spectrometry will recognise
this question. The MS-analyst has to deal with at least 11 steps before he will
be able to send the results from his raw data files to the LIMS for reporting.
Considering the integration problems caused by existing instrument software
(different data formats, manual data transfer to other packages, derogatory
internal standards etc.) the final release of results still is strongly dependent
on the subjective judgement and the handwork of the analyst.
The current need for more efficiency and more reliability – and of course
the lacuna in the field of software – has led to the development of LabCarrier®,
a modularly built application that processes large batches of MS-data, from
the integrated peak to transfer to the LIMS.
Peter van den Elshout – head of software development at LabWing BV and
the so called brain behind LabCarrier® – will explain how and why
the lab can easily leave the hard work of QC to this state of the art software.
After the lecture, LabWing will be pleased to tell you more about LabCarrier®
and about other software tools of LabWing and we will give you a warm welcome
at our LabWing information stand.
