Breda, February 11th 2004 - Last January 7th,
KIWA organised the Proficiency Testing Day 2004 in Nieuwegein. LabWing was also
invited and LabWing performed as guest speaker. We explained
about the new features of ROOS, the application widely used by laboratories
when doing Proficiency Testing.
Since May 2002 LabWing manages ROOS and, recently, RIZA organised a survey
among the users of ROOS. Based on the survey, a list of things to improve was
established and, during the last months, LabWing worked hard on meeting the
demands of the user group. The things that have been changed were presented
on the 7th of February.
For example, a filter has been developed that facilitates the management of
the method information codes (MIC's). Also, the entry of results was made easier.
Referring to the MIC's is easier because of a distinction between standard and
local definitions. Next to this, it is now possible to add remarks to a result
which facilitates feedback to RIZA and/or KIWA. Another change concerns the
easy entry of exact values. All in all, working with ROOS DeelApp has become
a lot more user-friendly.
The variance of analysis becomes more and more important within the lab. That's
why LabWing has inserted this item in ROOS Deelapp. It is now possible to choose
from the following options: no variance of analysis, symmetric, or a-symmetric
variance of analysis.
Of course, the other products of LabWing were also presented: Labs-of-Time®,
LabCarrier®, LabChain® and LabCost® were mentioned and after LabWing's presentation,
several software applications could be seen 'live'.
