Your job involves:
|
|
Managing the content, maintain developments, security and tuning of SQL Server databases, in particular the databases supporting our websites. |
|
|
Full fill the combined task of being an operational manager, architect, project manager and consultant. |
|
|
Seeing to the development of the technical design of data models and databases. |
|
|
Making suggestions in relation to the improvement of the delivered database services and be able to implement these on a project base. (e.g. optimizing data-models, stored procedures etc.) |
|
|
Hand cut and dried solutions for performance problems. |
|
|
Making sure the documentation (o.a. Disaster Recovery) in relation with the SQL Server is up-to-date. |
|
|
Being the person to talk to for all database related questions asked by the development team. |
|
|
An advising role in implementations. |
|
|
|
|
Who are we looking for:
|
|
|
An independent, intelligent, optimistic and hard worker, who takes actively care for the functional en technical maintenance of the databases and besides that acts as a co-designer (and possibly developer) on the SQL Server 2005-sytems. Also we expect from our DBA that he/she, not only approaches his/her job from the technical point of view, but is also (mainly) able to make the connection with the wishes and demands of the laboratory sector. |

Your profile measures as well the following demands;
|
|
|
A relevant bachelor or master degree. |
|
|
At least two years experience as a DBA for MS SQL Server 2005 |
|
|
At least one year experience in the IT-field as database specialist. |
|
|
A ‘MCDBA-certificate’ for MS SQL server 2005 |
|
|
Affinity with the laboratory sector and her specific wishes and demands. |
|
|
Experience with T-SQL and programming of triggers and stored procedures. |
|
|
Personal preference for Microsoft. |
|
|
Knowledge of BI- and ETL-tools and of VB.NET and ASP.NET |
|
|
Knowledge of MS Reporting Services |
|
|
Be fluent in English and Dutch, for the benefit of the communication with our (international)communication. |
|
|
It is a plus when you are able to read program flows to detect problems (as in stored procedures). |
