in the lab environment. One of our core priorities is to streamline and harmonize data flows
into one efficient and transparent model, enabling laboratories to deliver top-quality test results
quickly, accurately and cost-effectively.
The growth of the installed base of our Labs-of-Time™ web applications means that we are looking
for enthusiastic employees. To reinforce our development team, LabWing is seeking a:
Databases Administrator .SQL
Innovative laboratory databases
Analytical intelligence, accuracy and a strong eye for detail are a must
Your job involves:
- Managing the content, maintenance, updates, security and tuning of SQL Server databases, especially those behind our websites.
- Performing a combined role as operational manager, architect, project manager and consultant.
- Developing the technical design of data models and databases.
- Proposing improvements to database services and executing optimization projects (e.g. stored procedures, data models).
- Delivering ready-made solutions for performance issues.
- Ensuring SQL Server–related documentation (including Disaster Recovery) is up-to-date.
- Serving as the point of contact for all database-related questions from the development team.
- Advising on implementations and technical decisions.
We are looking for:
- An independent, intelligent, optimistic and hardworking professional who manages databases functionally and technically, and contributes as co-designer (and possibly developer) of SQL Server systems.
- Someone who not only understands the technical side, but also connects database solutions to the needs of the laboratory sector.
- A relevant bachelor or master degree.
- At least two years of experience as an MS SQL Server DBA.
- At least one year of relevant IT experience as a database specialist.
- MCDBA certification for MS SQL Server.
- Affinity with the laboratory sector and its specific requirements.
- Experience with T-SQL, triggers and stored procedures.
- Preference for Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of BI and ETL tools, VB.NET and ASP.NET.
- Knowledge of MS Reporting Services.
- Fluency in English and Dutch for communication with international contacts.
- Ability to read program flows to identify problems (e.g. stored procedures) is a strong advantage.
