Interfacing
Data exchange using interfaces involves the collection, storage, organization and sharing of data between different parties inside and outside the laboratory.
Instruments are increasingly connected to a laboratory information system (LIMS). All instrument data is then stored centrally for analysis and reporting. When exchanging information, protecting the privacy and confidentiality of data is very important.
For this purpose, we have the following functions available, among others:
Import from Host
Function that allows analysis results to be imported from the LIMS to the Labs-of-Time® server (the 'host') in XML format. Also, via Import, the laboratory can import data from its analysis code table (analyses, analysis codes, prices, capacity, delivery times, reference values, etc.) to Labs-of-Time®.
Export to Host
With Export, the client's order information is exported from the Labs-of-Time® server to the LIMS (in XML format). The operator can send multiple orders at once with one transaction.
Scan barcode
Function in Export that checks that the barcode on the sample on arrival matches the ID code on the electronic order form. It then exports the order data from Labs-of-Time® to the LIMS.
